MOSAIC WORKSHOPS THIS SUMMER AT MID WALES ARTS CENTRE

It was another very enjoyable day with a lovely group of students really focused and engaged in creating a small flower pot with their own mosaic design.  They worked with mixed media using ceramic and glass mosaic tiles, china and pottery, glass and beads.  It was encouraging to see them trying out a new way of working creatively.

We will be working on a flat surface and a small 4” square board will be available for you to create a tile that can be used as a coaster or framed in a box frame to go onto the wall.

There will be mosaic tiles, ceramics, glass and beads available but please bring along any cherished or chipped china, beads, jewellery, stones or shells that you wish to include in your design and learn how to safely create a new work of art.  Bring a design if you wish or there will be ideas on a garden theme available if you would like guidance.
