Blue & White Tulips Flower Pot
I have up-cycled an old resin indoor flower pot and created a beautiful design of blue and white flowers contrasting with the red and white birds. I used an interesting mixture of blue and white and red and white patterned china gathered from charity shops. I have left parts of the pot exposed in order to include the bluey textured background into the design. The mosaic tesserae are cemented onto the terracotta pot to ensure a long life. This piece was inspired by my love of spring flowers, especially tulips, and the bird-life in my garden and wanting to incorporate into a piece interesting patterns.
It is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. If you position it outside, it is recommended that you bring it indoors in the winter months.
Size: 8” high/7” diameter at the opening.
Currently being exhibited at the Mid Wales Arts Centre if you would like to see it in person. The MWAC is in Caersws, near Newtown, Mid Wales, Powys, SY17 5SB
